Coach Bob Medina enters his third year as Director of Sports Performance at Skyridge High School, bringing more than 30 years of NCAA Division I and NBA strength and conditioning experience. Throughout his career, Coach Medina has worked with elite collegiate, professional, and Olympic athletes while serving in leadership roles with programs including the UNLV Rebels, the Seattle SuperSonics, the Portland Trail Blazers, BYU, Santa Clara University, and the University of Washington.
Coach Medina has contributed to championship-level programs at every level of competition, including an NCAA National Championship at UNLV, multiple conference championships, NBA Finals appearances, and Olympic team preparation with the Nigerian and Senegal Women’s National Basketball teams. He has worked directly with numerous NBA All-Stars and Hall of Fame athletes and coaches and holds the distinction of Master Strength Coach through the CSCCA.
His philosophy emphasizes long-term athletic development, injury prevention, discipline, and helping student-athletes build strength, confidence, and habits that support success both in sport and in life. Coach Medina and his wife, LeeAnn, have four children.
