Skyridge Football has established itself as one of Utah's premier high school football programs in a remarkably short period of time. Since beginning varsity competition, the Falcons have consistently competed at the highest levels of Utah high school football, reaching four state championship games and capturing the program's first 6A State Championship in 2022.

That success has been built through dedicated student-athletes, exceptional coaching, supportive families, and a community committed to the program. Year after year, Skyridge has continued to compete among Utah's best while developing players who are prepared for success on the field, in the classroom, and beyond high school.

At the foundation of the program is a simple philosophy:

Those principles have helped shape Skyridge Football from its earliest seasons and continue to define the standard for every player who wears a Falcon uniform.

Skyridge went undefeated in region play and advanced to the state championship for the second consecutive season, falling to Corner Canyon 31-14.

In only its second varsity season, Skyridge reached its first state championship game before finishing as runner-up to Lehi.

Skyridge posted a winning record in the first football season in school history.

Skyridge High School opened in 2016, and with it came the opportunity to build a football program from the ground up. With no decades-old traditions or history to inherit, the coaches and players who established the program also established the expectations, culture, and identity that would define Skyridge Football.

Success came quickly. In only its second varsity season, Skyridge advanced to the 2017 5A State Championship. The Falcons returned to the championship game in 2018, making back-to-back title appearances during the program's first three years.

When Skyridge moved to Utah's 6A classification in 2019, the program continued to establish itself among the state's best. The Falcons reached the 6A semifinals in 2020 and 2021 before breaking through in 2022.

On November 18, 2022, Skyridge defeated Corner Canyon 17-7 at Rice-Eccles Stadium to capture the first football state championship in school history. The Falcons finished the season 13-1 and ranked No. 1 in Utah.

Skyridge returned to the 6A championship game the following season and has continued to make deep postseason runs, including semifinal appearances in both 2024 and 2025.

Through different teams, players, coaches, and seasons, the expectations of the program have remained consistent. Skyridge Football continues to build on the foundation established in 2016 while preparing each new generation of Falcons to leave its own mark on the program.

The 2022 season marked a defining moment in Skyridge Football history. The Falcons finished 13-1 and capped the season by winning the program's first state championship.

Skyridge entered the 6A playoffs as the No. 2 seed and advanced to the championship for a rematch with Corner Canyon, the only team to defeat the Falcons that season. The Chargers had won the regular-season matchup 21-17, setting the stage for another meeting at Rice-Eccles Stadium with the state title on the line.

On November 18, the Skyridge defense delivered one of the best performances of an already dominant season. The Falcons held Corner Canyon to seven points and stopped the Chargers on all five of their fourth-down attempts. Skyridge won 17-7 to claim the 6A State Championship and finish the year as Utah's No. 1-ranked team.

The championship capped a season in which Skyridge scored 552 points while allowing just 140, an average of 39.4 points scored and 10.0 points allowed per game. More importantly, it gave the program the title it had been building toward since its first varsity season in 2016.

The success of Skyridge Football is measured by more than wins and championships. The mission of the program is to teach young student-athletes to positively influence others by developing the values, skills, and attitudes necessary for success in life as well as football.
