Bio
Coach Justin Hemm enters his 13th year in coaching and his fifth season at Skyridge High School, where he serves as Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator. Since joining Skyridge in 2022, Coach Hemm has led the Falcons while continuing a career marked by high-level quarterback development and explosive offensive production. Prior to Skyridge, he served as Head Coach at Brighton High School, Offensive Coordinator at Jordan High School, and coached quarterbacks and defensive backs at his alma mater, Piqua High School in Ohio.
Coach Hemm played collegiate football at Ball State University before continuing his career at Adrian College, where he played four seasons and earned a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. He later earned a master’s degree in Athletic Administration from Ohio University.
Throughout his coaching career, Coach Hemm’s offenses have averaged more than 32 points per game in nine seasons as an Offensive Coordinator, including three seasons averaging more than 40 points per game. He has helped develop quarterbacks who have gone on to compete at the collegiate level, including Crew Wakley (Utah State/BYU), Jack Johnson (Georgetown), McCae Hillstead (Utah State/BYU), Jackson Stevens (SUU), and Kaneal Sweetwyne (Colorado). Coach Hemm was named the 2019 Deseret News 5A Coach of the Year and served as a speaker at the 2024 Nike Coach of the Year Clinic.
His coaching philosophy emphasizes detailed preparation, physical and mental resilience, and empowering players to take ownership of team culture. Outside of football, Coach Hemm enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, and being outdoors.
