Patrick Gleaves

Bio

Coach Patrick Gleaves enters his 25th year in education and coaching and his 11th season at Skyridge High School, where he serves as Defensive Coordinator. Coach Gleaves has been with the Skyridge football program since the school opened in 2016, coaching defensive backs and linebackers before stepping into the Defensive Coordinator role in 2023.

Throughout his coaching career, Coach Gleaves has contributed to two state championship football programs at Tooele High School (2003) and Skyridge High School (2022) and previously coached football and baseball at Lehi High School (2004–2014), where he also served as Athletic Director. At Skyridge, he has helped develop defensive players who have gone on to compete at NCAA Division I and II football programs.

In addition to coaching, he teaches U.S. History and AP Government. As both an educator and coach, Coach Gleaves believes the same principles drive success in the classroom and on the field: preparation, accountability, communication, and trust. His coaching philosophy emphasizes football IQ, discipline, and building habits that support long-term success.

Coach Gleaves and his wife, Leslie, have four children and enjoy spending time together as a family, especially traveling and watching NCAA football and Major League Baseball.
